Parents promise big reward

AUBURN -- A first grader in Auburn has been working hard for a special Christmas present. Kaylei Gleason's parents told her they had a special deal with Santa.And if she read 500 books before Christmas, she would get a Nintendo DS.
Kaylei has been making a lot of progress but a couple of weeks ago she was in a car accident. Her parents worried she wouldn't meet her goal- until Kaylei helped them see things differently. When her doctor told her she wouldn't be able to participate in gym class, she said it meant she had more time to read.
With 10 days until Christmas, Kaylei is just 20 books short of her goal Her father says she'll get those books read in plenty of time.
