The DTV Transition
 |
TV as we know it has changed. Are YOU ready?
|
Television stations nationwide are under a mandate to switch from the method of transmitting TV signals known as analog, used since the 1940s, to digital television (DTV). By federal law all analog television transmissions ceased on June 12, 2009, an extension of the original February 17 deadline.
DTV is an innovative new type of broadcasting technology that delivers movie-quality pictures and sound, more channels, and even high definition television (HDTV) to consumers with HD television sets.
While the benefits of DTV are remarkable, millions of households risk losing television reception unless they take the simple steps to receive a digital signal. We are here to assist you throughout the entire transition process with videos, articles, and instructions on what you need to do to avoid being left in the dark.
