Alice Maggiore
Producer

School: SUNY Oneonta
Hometown: Binghamton, NY

Alice joined the CNYCentral news team in June, 2012, from WBNG-TV in Binghamton, where she worked as a Producer and Reporter. She’s excited to make the short journey north on I-81 to learn the nooks and crannies of Syracuse and areas beyond, sharing the stories of those who call Central New York home.

Alice now produces the 5:30 and 6 p.m. newscasts on NBC 3.

While in Binghamton, she was recognized by the New York State Broadcaster’s Association for her role in producing newscasts as waters started to rise during the flood of 2011.

Alice has always wanted to be a journalist, she believes everyone has a story to tell, and we can all learn from our different experiences.

Alice holds a Bachelor’s of Sciences in Mass Communications, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the State University of Oneonta. She was heavily involved with the college’s television station, WIRE-TV, and Lambda Pi Eta, the Communication Arts Honor Society. She also served as Managing Editor of the State Times, which was recognized as the Best Newspaper in the SUNY system.

When she’s not in the newsroom, you might see Alice out for a walk at Onondaga Lake Park, or reading, with a cup of coffee, at Barnes and Noble.

If you have a story idea, or just want to say hello, please e-mail Alice at AMaggiore@cnycentral.com.
