Niko Tamurian joined the Action News Team in April of 2007 as a Sports Reporter. An East Syracuse-Minoa High School graduate, Niko knows the CNY sports scene inside and out. He earned an Associates Degree from the EMC program at Onondaga Community College and a bachelor's degree in journalism from Buffalo State. Most recently, Niko worked as a sports producer and videographer at WSYR-TV. He is now a part of the WSTM/WSTQ family. A New Yorker at heart, Niko is a die-hard SU sports fan, and he roots for the Bills, the Yankees, and the Sabres.

• Why I'm a Journalist: Growing up as a Syracuse area sports fan it was always my dream to be able to present comprehensive and extensive coverage of all the teams I grew up rooting for. To be able to tell stories in a compelling fashion and hopefully make a difference.
