Brian Mueller joined the Action News Team in August of 2009 as a sports reporter. He interned with the sports department in the fall of 2008 and is excited to rejoin the station in an expanded role.
Brian grew up in St. Louis, Missouri but has learned to love Syracuse and all the sports it has to offer over the years. He graduated from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public communications with a degree in broadcast journalism. While a student at SU Brian had many opportunities to cover memorable sports stories. He did the first national interview with Jonny Flynn for ESPNU and also profiled former professional wrestler Dick Beyer for the “U.”
In his down time Brian helps out the Syracuse University Mock Trial team as an assistant coach and playing whatever sport the season calls for. If you have an idea for a story or just a general sports question, feel free to email Brian at bmueller@cnycentral.com.
