SYRACUSE --

The Onondaga County Health Department held its final public H1N1 vaccination clinic at Drumlins County Club in Syracuse on Friday.

There were approximately 1000 appointments scheduled for Friday's clinic and the Health Department expects it will have given about 23,000 immunizations over the past few months.

"Initially we weren't positive on the supply as far as when it would arrive so when we were scheduling the school clinics we were scheduling two week intervals at a time to make sure we had enough," said Kathy Mogle from the Health Department. "Once we knew there was enough we certainly opened it up."

Even though this was the last of the scheduled clinics from Onondaga County, the Health Department says they are still available. Mogle recommended people contact their doctor or check with local pharmacies to see if they provide in store clinics.
