If so, you should know about this event.The Liverpool Linguists, a Toastmasters International Club, is hosting an open house from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8 at the Liverpool Public Library, 310 Tulip Street, Liverpool. Sargeant Meeting Room. There will be free food, networking and a sample meeting. Anyone interested in improving their speaking, leadership, listening and/or overall communication skills -- and in doing so improving thelselves (and who wouldn't want to do that?) -- is encouraged to attend.The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every individual member has the opportunity to develop oral communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.And if you're not able to attend the open house, it's not too late. The Liverpool Linguists Toastmasters Club meets regularly on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Liverpool First United Methodist Church, 604 Oswego Street, in the village of Liverpool.
