Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King B'day Celebration
On Saturday January 15, 2011, the true birthday of Rev. Dr. King our community, includung our Mayor, County Excec, community, civic and academic leaders come together to celebrate this giant of our era.
This event is sponsored by the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Syracuse(IMA). During this event awrds for momentus community service are given out as well as the County Exec. presents to one of it's employees their Dr. M.L. King award.The Keynote Address this year will be given by Rev. Kevin Agee, pastor of Hopp's CME Church, and past president of A.C.T.S., Alliance of Communities Transforming Syracuse. The Childrens Gospel Choir of Dr. King Elementary School will be the guest performers.This promises to be an evening to remeber as we celebrate the Legacy of such a great leader.
