Researchers in Texas are hoping that plant-like algae could someday fuel a car.

What they are testing may look like swamp goo, but, it could be as valuable as gold.

And it's not just biodiesel.  Experts say they can break down the algae into glycerin and use it for cattle feed.

Producers say this may not be the final answer in the movement to reduce oil usage but, it is another step in the process.
