Here's something most people don't know.  Human hair can be used to clean oil spills.

It sounds odd, but it actually works. That's why the charity "Matter of Trust" is collecting a truck loads of hair from around the country.  Three tractor-trailer loads so far to be exact.

Lisa Craig Gautier from "Matter of Trust" is rummaging through the boxes.  "This is all the hair.  Just tons, and tons, and tons of hair", she said.  "There's one from Florida back there."

This load of about 18,000 pounds of hair will be turned into hair mats that oil and other petroleum products cling to.
