Among the stories Action News is watching for you:
Monday:
~Daniel Lackey is due in court, in Utica.  He argues he was falsely convicted and imprisoned for sexual assault, because police took advantage of his diminished mental capacity.
~Cable TV Franchise review.  The City of Syracuse holds 3 days of information gathering as it prepares to renew the contract.

~Funeral Services in Brownsville for Trooper David Lane, killed while on duty in Catskill last week.
~Governor Paterson addresses a joint meeting of state legislators.  Senate Democrats have decided not to boycott. Budget cuts will be the primary topic.
Tuesday:
~State Legislators go into special session to consider more budget cuts
Wednesday:
~West Genesee High School students have been working on a local veterans tribute for 3 years.  The documentary debuts
at Eastwood's Palace Theater, at 6pm (the public's invited).
Thursday:
~Syracuse's Holiday Tree is cut from Elmcrest Children's Center and brought to Clinton Square
Friday:
~Remembrance ceremonies at SU's PanAm 103 memorial, for the students lost when the plane was blown up over Lockerbie, Scotland
Saturday:
~Caregiver connection: Loretto provides contacts and information on caring for older relatives.  LeMoyne Manor, 9am-4pm, free.
This Weekend:
~Leatherstocking Dog Shows.  State Fairgrounds hosts over 1,000 canines, plus handlers & vendors.  Thursday - Sunday
~Junior League Holiday Shoppes.  Shopping extravaganza at the State Fairgrounds, Friday - Sunday.
