Passport to Syracuse is beginning its two week effort at getting area residents more aware of all the uniqueness offered here.

Cecelia Cannon, who chairs the 40 Below task force that's put the event together, says it's aimed primarily at young residents who have just moved here, or who've lived here 'forever' and just haven't checked out what's beyond their neighborhoods. The list includes lots of restaurants and bars, but also stores and interesting places to visit.

It all starts with a family picnic at Sharkey's in Liverpool, that runs til 4 on Saturday afternoon.
