Business Type: Wayne’s Radiator has been around for 30 years. Since the day it was started the company has been family owned and operated by the Dupree’s for generations. Original owner Wayne Dupree passed away in 1996 leaving the business to children Kevin and Kathy to operate. Wayne’s has four bays to work in and four mechanics to assist the customer.
On November 30, 2007 a fire occurred when fumes in the building sparked and caused a full tank of gas to spew fire and ignite the business. No one was hurt during the fire, but the place suffered extensive interior and exterior damage. Wayne’s was rebuilt later that year and maintains its steady flow of business from loyal customers.
They do everything from oil changes, inspections, brakes, air-conditioning, coolant flushes, tune-ups, engine diagnostics, motor replacement, and electrical work. In addition to the services provided, Wayne’s will shuttle customers if their car has to stay at the shop or if they need a ride to work in the morning while their car is being fixed. Wayne’s is a NAPA auto care center that has the “peace of mind” warranty. That means that any customer who had put a NAPA auto part into their vehicle would be able to come to Wayne’s with the warranty period of 12 months or 12,000 miles for a replacement. In addition with the NAPA guarantee, the shop also redeems the Advantage Auto/Auto Value Warranty; that is along the same lines of Napa’s 12 month 12,000 mile warranty. We can service either company.
Wayne’s is part of the Better Business Bureau, and actively involved in charity work for the community. They are currently involved in NAPA auto care’s autism awareness program that raises money for the cause. In the past, Wayne’s Radiator has also donated money to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Wayne’s owner, Kathy, wants customers to know that “our customers are #1 and we want them to know that without them we wouldn’t be here; we appreciate their business.” Kathy adds, “We are an honest company that tries to help the customer, not sell the customer.”
Wayne’s Radiator takes all major credit cards, cash or check.
Chemists and backyard mechanics have probably been coming up with ways to plug radiator leaks for as long as water-cooled engines have existed.
