SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (AP) -- The men's soccer team at an upstate New York college has had its spring season cancelled after school officials said players were involved in hazing during a party last November.

Officials at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs announced Thursday that 24 players and four other students were disciplined for participating in an initiation known as "rookie night." Details of the hazing haven't been released.

Skidmore President Philip Glotzbach says the college's campus security office conducted an investigation and has turned the results over to Saratoga Springs police and the Saratoga County District Attorney's Office.

He says some team members face suspension for the fall season.

Skidmore, a private liberal college with a student enrollment of about 2,500, participates in Division III sports.
