Robert L. Tiso, M.D. Dr. Tiso is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist with additional training and Board Certification in Pain Medicine. He is also a Certified Clinical Densitometrist. Dr. Tiso's specialty allows him to treat acute and chronic pain conditions with emphasis on aggressive non-operative spine care. Joseph A Catania, M.D. Dr. Catania is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist with additional training and Board Certification in Pain Medicine. He is also a Certified Clinical Densitometrist. Dr. Catania's specialty allows him to treat acute and chronic pain conditions with emphasis on aggressive non-operative spine care. Riná C. Davis, M.D. Dr. Davis is a Board Certified Physiatrist with additional training and Board Certification in Pain Medicine. Dr. Davis’s specialty allows her to treat acute and chronic pain conditions with emphasis on aggressive non-operative spine care. Eric A. Tallarico, M.D. Dr. Tallarico is a Board Certified Physiatrist with additional training and Board Certification in Pain Medicine. He is also a Certified Clinical Densitometrist. Question Do I need my doctor to refer me to your office? Answer No, we take "self-referrals". You may call to make an appointment, we will ask you what insurance you have so we may verify if your insurance requires a referral. Question Should I see you prior to having an operation on my back? Answer Yes. In some instances, surgery can be avoided by interventions we can provide or we can perform diagnostic procedures that better clarify the type of surgery you will need. Question Can the therapies you offer take the place of surgery? Answer Depending in your diagnosis, we may be able to tailor a treatment plan that corrects your problem without surgery. Question Do I have to be a patient with your practice to take advantage of the massage and acupuncture therapies? Answer No. You may call our office to schedule a massage or acupuncture session without having to have been seen by one of our physicians. Question I have already had surgery, but I still have pain. Can you help me? Answer Yes. Many of the techniques we offer are potentially helpful for people who have had surgery. Question If I am seen here, can I still see my referring doctor? Answer Yes. We will work with your primary care doctor or surgeon to help you with your pain syndrome.
