Question Should I “set back” my thermostat? Answer Setting the program on your thermostat is a great way to help save money on your utility bill. It is recommended that you don't go past 6 degrees when setting the temperature down. Question Should I cover my A/C unit in the winter? Answer At Charles, we believe that in the winter “loose” covers are okay. Although, we recommend, if the a/c unit is in a place where ice can fall on it, a piece of plywood will better protect your unit. Question How often should I change my filter? Answer It is recommended that you change your filter once a month. If you use a hepa filter, it should be done every month. Also, make sure the arrows on the filter are facing the furnace indicating air flow. Question My talking thermostat keeps flashing CFS or CFF, how do I clear it? Answer Lift open the cover on thermostat and hold down the “NO” button for 10 seconds. Question How long will the installation take? Answer All of your furnace and A/C replacements take just 1 day.
