This is especially true if you choose to “spot treat” your commercial space rather than having a qualified pest control company on contract.
Bed bugs are a hot topic at the moment. Gannon Pest Control is putting together a BED BUG MONITORING program for hotels. Unfortunately, hotels and landlords are paying the price for the bed bug problem and they need some early detection measures. Jennifer Savastino, VP/Co-owner Jennifer Savastino has been co-owner of Gannon Pest Control since 1997. She was born and raised in Central New York and has earned Bachelor’s Degree and Masters of Business Administration from LeMoyne College. She currently resides in the Town of Onondaga with her fiancé and two children. Jennifer is active in the Autism and Special Needs community and, in 2008, was awarded the CNY Business Journal’s Women in Business Award as well as “40 under 40” Dan LoMascolo, Commercial Account Executive About LoMascolo, Gannon Pest Control vice president, Jennifer Savastino said “With Dan’s years of solid commercial pest control account experience, Gannon is poised to grow an already well established, though mainly residential, business. Matching his knowledge of commercial customers’ needs and our existing skills and services is a natural evolution for growing the Gannon business.” In joining Gannon Pest Control, LoMascolo has returned to the pest control business from broadcast sales. He has over 20 years of pest control services sales experience and a host of government and manufacturers’ certifications for the appropriate and safe application of pest control products. LoMascolo lives in Fulton. He received an Associates degree from Delhi University and is a graduate from Purdue University in Pest Control Technology.

Can we take care of this on our own? In the case of a business, you cannot. It is against the law to apply pesticides if you are not a certified applicator in a commercial property anywhere but your own home without a license. At your home, most of the products that you purchase in the store will not eliminate the underlying problem. They may take care of the pests that you see, but it will not eliminate the ultimate breeding areas. Many times ignoring a pest problem can result in increasing the cost of elimination as well as possible renovation costs. Bugs seem small and harmless, but they can definitely cause some serious damage to your home or building, loss of inventory, loss of customers and employee irritation.
There are also many types of bugs that can cause health issues. Cockroaches can cause respiratory issues in small children. Also, many people are allergic to insect bites and getting stung or bit can result in a trip to the hospital.
