We are a family firm, started in 1924 by Franklyn J. Barber.
He started working on water pumps for homes and farms in the Cortland and surrounding areas. The business and reputation grew dramatically in the early years and there was a great demand for us to add well drilling to the business. We are now welcoming our third generation of well drillers into the business, and we plan to add our fourth and fifth. Today, the firm is run by the DeLine Family.
Barber & DeLine was the first drilling contractor in Central New York to have a high pressure hammer drilling rig.
We had the foresight to see the advancing technology that is now the norm in our industry. With our advanced experience and knowledge of our equipment, we have always stayed well ahead of other companies with our advancement of new techniques, tooling and support equipment to produce the best results possible for our customers.
