LYSANDER, NY -- The yogurt culture continues to grow in Central New York, and may bring as many as 120 new jobs to Onondaga County.

A company that specializes in making fruit preparations for dairy products, including yogurt, is setting up shop in Lysander.

Agrana Fruit US is expected to break ground on the $50 million plant in the Radisson Corporate Park -- not far from the Anheuser Busch In-Bev company -- next month.

Agrana is based in Ohio; it has three other plants in the midwest.

The Lysander plant will be Agrana's first in the northeast, and the 30th yogurt production plant in New York state.

A $600,000 grant and $2 million in tax credits from New York state is funding the project.
