MORRISVILLE -- A SUNY Morrisville student is facing drug charges following a 3-month investigation.

20-year-old Javontay Lindsey, of Westbury, was arrested in a drug raid at his apartment at 26 East Main Street in the Village of Morrisville.

Madison County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Investigators and members of the Sheriff's Special Operations Unit executed the search warrant shortly after midnight. Investigators say they seized a small quantity of cocaine, approximately 130 grams of marijuana with a street value of $2,600 and nearly $11,000 in cash. Lindsey is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Investigators say the property owner nor any other residents of the building were involved or suspected in the investigation.

Lindsey was arraigned in Morrisville Village Court and is currently being held in the Madison County Jail on $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond. He is expected to appear in court at a later date.
