LIVERPOOL -- The Liverpool Board of Education may move Morgan Road Elementary students to the former Wetzel Road Elementary building for the 2013-14 school year due to upgrades to the building that will be taking place, says Morgan Road Elementary Principal Brett Woodcock.

Liverpool school district voters approved the Phase One Capital Project in April of 201, which includes many improvements to Morgan Road Elementary.

The first improvement was a roof replacement project, which is still ongoing.

The second phase of the project is scheduled to take place during the 2013-14 school year at Morgan Road Elementary.  The work will include improvements to windows and doors, the heating system, the energy management system and security.

The Board of Education is considering the move because it would allow the work to go on at Morgan Road Elementary without disrupting the educational process, says Woodcock.

There will be a parent meeting to discuss this topic on Wednesday at 6 PM in the Morgan Road Elementary cafeteria.  At the meeting, more information regarding this proposal will be shared and parents will be given the opportunity to provide input and ask questions.
