Broadcasting LIVE at the CNY Central Media Center and on NBC3 and CBS5 during the 5:00-6:30pm news.
Viewers nominate a worthy group or self nominate themselves by writing a 200 word or less entry on CNYCentral.com about why they should be chosen to attend this “by invitation only” event. Wayne Mahar reviews all entries and selects the groups to invite. A portion of these nomination letters will be posted on CNYcentral.com. Each party will have approximately 130 attendees.

Canine Carnival

Where: Long Branch Park at Long Branch Park in Liverpool
The Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation and CNY Central are hosting the fourth Annual Canine Carnival. The goal of the event is to raise funds for the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation and improve community awareness of animal needs. Hold this date to visit over 70 vendors and rescue associations helping animals of all types!

Recycling Day Event 2013

CNY Central is asking our community to properly recycle unlimited electronic devices including televisions, and so many more items. View a complete list of acceptable and unacceptable items.
Ticket Information: Free - no tickets necessary. Cash donations will be accepted on site to benefit Baby Easton’s Family and the Butterfly Fund.
More than 250,000 pounds of recyclables were dropped off, and nearly $10,000 was donated, at CNY Central's Recycling Day Event on Saturday afternoon at Destiny USA.
More than 2,000 cars dropped off items, which filled 10 tractor trailers with over 250,000 pounds of recyclables.
From your generous donations, we raised $9,829 that will benefit Baby Easton’s family and the Butterfly Fund, a non-profit focused on Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). 60 percent of the donations will go directly to Baby Easton’s family and 40% will go to the Butterfly Foundation in honor of Baby Easton’s family.

Taste of Success 2012

The annual Taste of Success will treat participants to Wegmans’ finest food and an expansive array of wines and beers.
Proceeds will help support nearly 1,000 Syracuse City students enrolled in Hillside Work Scholarship Connection, a youth development program that helps students graduate high school with the skills they need to succeed in college and the workplace.
Ticket Information: Tickets are $50 at the door or $40 before May 4th. Tickets are available at all Syracuse Wegmans Service Desks or on the Hillside Web Site.

33rd Annual Jamesville Balloonfest - 2012
When: Friday June 8 from 4-11pm, Saturday June 9 from 9am-11pm, and Sunday June 10 from 9am-9pm
Where: Jamesville Beach
Join us to enjoy over two dozen hot air and special shape balloons at the 33rd Annual Jamesville Balloonfest! Go on a balloon ride, watch the educational demonstrations and learn about the history of ballooning while enjoying the sounds of national, local and regional musical entertainment.
There will be a wide variety of food and beverages along with amusement rides for all! Don't forget about the Art's and Crafts section where various artists and crafters will be sharing their expertise.

Syracuse Festival at The Inner Harbor - 2012

Where: Syracuse Inner Harbor
CNY Central presents the Syracuse Festival that will showcase national, regional and local actson the "Music for the Mission" main stage each day and night at Syracuse’s’ Inner Harbor. There will be vendors, games, amusement rides, local eateries and more family fun for everyone! The traditional City of Syracuse July 4th fireworks show will be Saturday night, July 7th at 9:30pm with the music of Stan Colella Orchestra on the "Music for the Mission" main stage.
Just a short stroll from downtown Syracuse, the Syracuse Festival is an event for everyone to enjoy! Click here for a list and schedule of the various entertainment.
Alan Byer Volvo is providing complimentary free Summer Fun Tickets when you register to win on Thursday or Friday at the Syracuse Inner Harbor. You must be present to win one pair of tickets every 30 minutes to various Central New York Theme Parks.

for Wayne’s Toys for Tots Drive - 2012

Where: CNY Central, 1030 James Street in Syracuse
Join us for The Drive-Thru Drop off for Wayne’s Toys for Tots. If you have new, unwrapped toys you’d like to donate to Toys for Tots, just load them into your vehicle and drive right into our parking lot from the right hand side of the building at 1030 James Street. Some nice Marines will unload the toys from your car and reload them onto their large truck. You don’t even have to get out of your car!
