TOWN OF SALINA -- Drivers traveling through Liverpool may have noticed a familiar sight on Tuesday. Employees from the Onondaga County Parks Department are already busy setting up the displays for this year’s Lights on the Lake exhibit, which opens for the season in late November.

The County announced Tuesday that advance sale tickets for Lights on the Lake will be available for a discounted price beginning on Sunday, November 1. According to the County, tickets may be purchased at all Syracuse-area Wegmans grocery stores, Heid’s of Liverpool, and at the Onondaga Lake Park office at the Griffin Visitor Center. The advance sale tickets, normally priced at $8 per vehicle, will be available for $6 each through November 24. Included with the price is admission to Christmas Around the World, at nearby Sainte Marie among the Iroquois, which will be open Fridays and Saturdays, November 27 thru December 19.

The 20th annual Lights on the Lake will open Monday, November 23 with the Lights on the Lake Stroll, a walking preview event. On Tuesday, November 24, the Lights on the Lake Dog Walk will welcome leashed dogs and their owners for a canine-themed night. The on-foot events will be open 5:00 - 9:00 pm, and admission is a $2 adult suggested donation.

The drive-through portion will begin on Wednesday, November 25 and run through Sunday, January 10 from 5:00 – 10:00 pm nightly. The price of admission at the gate is $8 per car, or visitors can show their Wegmans Shoppers Club card and pay $6 on Monday or Tuesday evenings.

The Lights on the Lake entry point is on Route 370 (Onondaga Lake Parkway) in Liverpool between Sainte Marie among the Iroquois and the Liverpool Animal Hospital. For more information, call Onondaga Lake Park at (315) 453-6712 or visit www.LightsontheLake.com.
