But when Onondaga Community College decided to move into the old county hospital across the street and turn it into an academic building, new eyes fell upon the forgotten cemetery.

The Center says spreading the message can be as simple as knowing what’s going on in your neighborhood. The pinwheel is the national symbol of child abuse prevention and awareness.

Wednesday, February 20, 2013  Bob Burns is a friendly face around St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse where he volunteers a few days a week. Burns has always been active and energetic, but when he was 52, his doctor sent him to a cardiologist and he was diagnosed with aortic stenosis – a condition where the aortic valve does not fully open.
