Swim, Bike and Run 70.3 miles---easy!

Registration is open, and you have 8 weeks to train for this year's Ironman

The third edition of the Ironman is coming up for Syracuse, with eight weeks to prepare for the challenge.

Ken Hammond is the Race Director, and says it is a 1.2 mile swim at Jamesville Reservoir, followed by a 56 mile bike ride and a 13.1 mile run.

Hammond says they're working on making the post-finish event more of a family affair, for racers and their supporters.

He says someone already in good shape could be ready to compete in 8 weeks, and for those who just want to watch but still be a part of it, there are lots of volunteering and involvement opportunities.
