Shamrock's Celebration 2012 is set for Saturday evening March 24th, 2012 at King+King Architects on the edge of Armory Square in Syracuse. Online payment and reservations are available at ShamrockAnimalFund.com.
October 2011:
Healthy Pet Clinics are being sponsored by the Shamrock Animal Fund and the CNY Animal Welfare Coalition. You can find details about the clinics by clicking here to go to the Shamrock Animal Fund web site.
RECORD OF SUCCESS:
The Shamrock Animal Fund has helped pay for the care of more than 60 pets as of February 2012. Additionally we have handled referrals from hundreds of pet owners offering advocacy and resource counseling. We have worked with more than a dozen veterinary hospitals across Central New York. We have received donations from supporters in 10 Upstate New York counties and several states.
HOW THE FUND WORKS:
The Shamrock Animal Fund requires the owner of the animal pay for the bulk of the cost of veterinary care and the veterinarian to offer a discount or financial accommodation. The Shamrock Animal Fund then helps pay for a supplmental part of the bill. The owner must also prove financial need before becoming eligible for payment which goes directly to the veterinarian.
Contact info@shamrockanimalfund.com to explain your case for need.
DONATIONS:
Send checks to: Shamrock Animal Fund, 7815 Karakul Lane, Fayetteville, NY 13066.

CASE EXAMPLES:
The first animal assisted is named Pookie. We are calling her our Alpha Dog, The American Eskimo was about to be put down before her owner reached out to the Shamrock Animal Fund for help.
You can read more about Pookie's story and watch the television story that aired about her by clicking here.

KOZMOE'S CASE:
Kozmoe the Maltese/Poodle who is the mascot of a Chittenango Senior Living Community also greatly benefited from the Shamrock Animal Fund. His case was a great example of the triangle of help the fund advocates. That's where the animal owner takes responsibility, the veterinarian provides some discount and the Shamrock Animal Fund makes a contribution to the care. Read and see Kozmoe's story as it aired on WSTM NBC 3.

About The Shamrock Animal Fund:
Our dog Shamrock passed away on January 9, 2010. He lived a wonderful life and would have celebrated his 19th birthday on March 17th, St. Patrick's Day.
Sadly, many animals in our community don't share the same luck of the Irish as Shamrock due to abandonment, abuse, injury, illness and neglect.
Our journey of caring for Shamrock inspired us to start the Shamrock Animal Fund, a not for profit organization that provides financial assistance with veterinary costs for animals that have owners with financial need.
The funds to assist in this care go directly to the veterinarians.
For more information on how to donate or receive assistance, you can email info@shamrockanimalfund.com or call 315-415-8563.
Or, make checks payable to:
