DALLAS -- The Dallas Morning News confirmed on Friday that Larry Hagman,who played the role of J.R. Ewing on the show "Dallas," passed away at a hospital in Dallas, TX around 4 o'clock this afternoon. He was 81.
According to the family, Hagman died from complications from his recent battle with cancer.
Hagman is best known for his role as the notorious villain J.R. Ewing on the television show Dallas.
