HASTINGS -- State Police have arrested 27-year old twins and charged them with an attempted holdup at the Mirabito Gas Station on Route 11 in Hastings.
Troopers say that 7:30 Saturday night, a man wearing a mask approached the cashier with what looked like a gun. He eventually left the store without getting any cash, and later Fulton Police helped in the arrest of Damian Bonanni. His twin brother John X. Bonanni apparently provided the transportation for the failed robbery attempt, and is also charged.
The gun that was shown has also been recovered, and is a BB gun replica of a semi-automatic pistol. Both brothers are due back in Parish court on January 2nd
