SYRACUSE -- Syracuse University basketball fans admit that they were surprised by the Orange's upset victory over top ranked Louisville on Saturday, which only increased their excitement.

"We're the best team in the country, we're number one, NCAA Champions this year," Matt Adamsen, who watched the game with his family at Sharkey's Sports Bar, says.

Several fans were impressed by the Orange's success without star player James Southerland, who was suspended due to an eligibility issue. The fans say that because they played so well against Louisville, they have the look of an NCAA Championship team.

"I didn't expect them to do so well without Southerland, but they did fantastic, so I'm really excited for the team," Scott Gerherz, who was also at Sharkey's in Liverpool, says.

The fans will get a chance to watch their Orange in person on Monday, as the Orange welcomes Cincinnati to the Carrier Dome for a 3:30 p.m. tipoff.
