A pair of snowmobile crashes, on the same trail, had sheriffs deputies and rescuers from three Central New York counties busy early Saturday morning.

The first crash, in Oneida County, on Trail C4 in Annsville.   Deputies say 41 year old Thomas Potter, from Taberg, slammed into a tree that had fallen across the trail.   He's been taken to St. Elizabeth's in Utica for treatment.

The second crash happened about 3am, also on Trail C4, but in Osceola.   Lewis County Sheriff's Deputies say 53 year old Lawrence Corl, from Franklin Park, New Jersey went off the trail and into trees..  They called in Oswego County rescuers to help get the crash victim to University Hospital in Syracuse, where he's in critical condition.
