DEWITT -- DeWitt Police say they are investigating a fatal, single car crash that happened Tuesday morning.
Chief of Police Eugene J. Conway says police were dispatched to Route 481 northbound, north of the on ramp at East Genesee Street around 6:55 a.m.
Police say a pickup truck had left the roadway and traveled down the embankment on the right side, coming to rest against a group of trees.
The driver was not responsive at the scene and was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, say police.
The victim has been identified as Thomas D. Walker, 62, of Cazenovia.
The investigation is ongoing.
