Update: Officials investigating if it could be Jennifer Ramsaran
TOWN OF PHARSALIA -- The Chenango County Sheriff's Office says it has recovered an unidentified female body off of Center Road in the Town of Pharsalia.
The body was sent to the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office in Syracuse for an autopsy.
"At this time, the identity of the female body is unknown to investigators and the investigation is continuing," says Chenango County Sheriff Ernest R. Cutting.
WBNG reports that the Chenango County Sheriff's Office is investigating if it could be the body of Jennifer Ramsaran.
Ramsaran, of New Berlin, went missing on December 11, 2012. She reportedly told her husband that she was going to Destiny USA to go shopping. Her cell phone was found in Plymouth and her car was located in Norwich shortly after her disappearance.
Her husband, Ganesh Ramsaran, reportedly told WBNG that authorities visited his house Tuesday night asking for medical and dental information that will be taken to the Medical Examiner.
