An 18 year old has died after apparently driving her SUV into the path of a CENTRO bus along Comstock Avenue near the SU campus
Update: Syracuse Police identified the driver who died on the crash on Comstock Avenue as 18-year-old Anna Pullano, of Syracuse.
CENTRO has now issued a statement on this morning's fatal SUV-bus crash near the SU campus, saying "post accident testing showed no presence of alcohol in the bus driver’s system.”
The 12:34 am crash in the 900 block of Comstock Avenue, near the intersection of Mount Olympus Drive, continues under investigation by Syracuse Police.
Syracuse Police say a GMC Denali crossed into the path of a CENTRO bus that was going toward campus, near the SU Women's Building. The SUV driver, an 18 year old, was alone in her vehicle. She was taken to Upstate University Hospital where she died of injuries.
Comstock Avenue is re-opened, though the crash cause is still under investigation, and the victim's name is not yet released. We will update you as more information becomes available.
