Highway will be down to one lane until mid-May
It's not even spring, officially, but State DOT work crews are starting the construction season on Monday, on 481 in DeWitt.
Bridge deck repairs on the Northbound lanes, just past the 690 interchange, will have the highway down to one lane, with flaggers directing traffic on some days, until mid-May. The highway passes over the road connecting a NYSDOT maintenance facility on Butternut Drive to Interstate 690 west.
Also planned for this summer, several more state road repairs, including:
Route 174 over Nine Mile Creek, in the Town of Camillus
State Route 38 over Dry Creek, in the Town of Moravia, Cayuga County
State Route 38 over Owasco Creek in the Town of Conquest, Cayuga County
Extensive work is also planned for 81 in the Cortland/Homer areas this summer.
The complete list of projects is on the NYSDOT website
