Using rain barrels to store water

The next time it rains, here is an idea on how to be productive despite the weather.  Use rain harvesting barrels.

Each barrel holds 55 gallons of water and is used to feed the garden and lawn during the hot summer months.  It is a lot less wasteful than putting out a sprinkler, and using community water.

The barrels are air tight and can keep bugs and dirt out of the water which is important because standing water can be a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
