Clinton Dudley traded in a finance degree for an environmental science career.

With two tubes of water and diesel fuel, he can demonstrate how his product disperses the oil into the water. out of the lab, into a spray bottle, you can see how quickly it works.

Clinton Dudley, Ecoclean creator says "Basically, you just need to start spraying it and you can see how quick it starts to take the hydrocarbon chain and break it down."

Similar products are being used in the Gulf oil clean up right now. but Dudley's product, "ecoclean" is environmentally friendly.  He says, "what we feel is unique about it, it's been derived from botanical, natural ingredients, you know, orange extracts, coconut oil, things of that nature.  Some of the other dispersing agents used in the Gulf oil cleanup are harmful to inhale or even to touch, but as you can see Ecoclean can be applied right to your hand with no problems at all."

Dudley started working on Ecoclean a couple years ago, but started speeding through the process of getting it patented since the Gulf oil spill. He hopes to have Ecoclean government approved and shipping to Louisiana in the next 30 to 60 days.

Already, his colleagues are taking notice. Dudley says, "They're very excited. I have gotten emails and email traffic going from 30 or 40 emails a day to 80 emails a day."

Even though the leak has stopped, Dudley hopes his Virginia product can help restore the beauty of the Gulf Coast.
