Nissan turned over its new Leaf this week.
The zero emission vehicle made its way to its first dealership in Japan and there's already high demand for it here in the United States as well.
It's being hailed as the first all electric car to be mass-marketed. It will start becoming available in select US states soon.
To prepare for the car, Nissan added 2200 charging stations at its Japanese dealerships.
Electric cars are also starting to roll off a plant in Indiana.
The model is called Think...and the first order filled went to the State of Indiana.
These zero emission vehicles can run about 100 miles without a charge. Nearly 300 more will be sold as soon as the company grows its product as automakers race to build electric cars.
