1928 theatre is setting for screenings

Capitolfest is bringing in silent movies, the earliest talkies, and a salute to Columbia Picture's short subjects, as part of this year's festival.

Art Pierce, executive director of the Capitol Theatre, says the Friday to Sunday screenings (August 12 - 14) are drawing from 15 states, Canada and England...so far.

Silent movies are accompanied by theatre organ musicians, and all the showings are in the 1928 movie palace.

The complete schedule of events is on theĀ Capitol Theatre website.
