A cold, and long night for fire volunteers from two counties, at a barn fire in Summerhill.

The alarm came in at 9:05, to the barn on Creech Road.  Besides neighboring Cayuga County departments,  Homer volunteers from Cortland County also responded, and are also reportedly part of the cause investigation effort.

It took the firefighters an hour and a half to declare the flames under control, but they were at the scene til 3:20 Sunday morning, checking for hot spots.  The cause remains under investigation.
