The last few days we have been talking more and offering more perspective on our newscasts from 5:00 to 6:30 pm on both NBC 3 and CBS 5.   You know what else we've been getting:   Hyper specific critiques, criticism and comments about issues that inspire enough passion for viewers, listeners and readers to e-mail, post to Facebook or call the newsroom.

Megan Coleman, Michael Benny and I were talking tonight about the Romney recording. The one where he talked about the 47% of Americans during a high priced republican fundraiser.    One of our viewers got angry enough about the discussion that he felt compelled to go to our CNYcentral.com website and send us an e-mail.   He saved the line about our being communists until deep in the lengthy paragraph.

"Romney told the truth and there is nothing wrong with that," said the viewer.  "Matt said that "Businesses take money from the Government, too." Yes, they do, because the government has it's tentacles into everything. We are a communist country, now. Czars running everything, and the Constitution stomped on daily."  The viewer went on to say, "It's so obvious that the commies have bought you, guys, but it was obvious long before obama. The media is as anti-American as any of our enemies in the world."

I told you last week about our extension of our Talk at 10 segment on our CW 6 News at Ten.   We call it the Talk Tonight.  It has apparently awoken some of our viewers from a regular news induced slumber.  We're glad to have you with us, paying attention and yelling at your televisions.  We look forward to giving you more discussions worthy of critique.
