Monday, June 18, 2012  A Groton Elementary School student came to school on Friday with a non-functioning firearm in his backpack. School administrators believe the boy took the gun from a relative. All parents were notified of the incident via email after one of the boy's family members reported the incident to the school principal.

Wednesday, May 02, 2012  Authorities say the body of a missing 22-year-old Groton man has been found in the bay in Ocean City.  The Coast Guard recovered the body of Lance Corey Gaines from the area of 32nd Street on the Isle of Wight Bay on Tuesday.
