It was an unseasonable start to the summer month of June. Readings reached the 30°s across a large chunk of our area. Temperatures could have actually been even colder. Luckily, a small batch of cloud coverage moved in between 3am and sunrise to prevent a further temperature tumble. It was precisely these clouds that prevented a widespread frost and potential a record setting cold for the day and for the entire month of June.
