If you use prescription drugs get ready for lower prices. Starting this year the patents on some of top selling drugs like Lipitor, Lexapro and Plavix expire, opening up the market for generic drugs that can cost anywhere from 20 to 80 percent less.

Drugmaker Pfizer Inc. announced Friday it would recall 38,000 bottles of its blockbuster cholesterol drug Lipitor due to an unpleasant odor, the third recall this year related to the problem.
