The Center says spreading the message can be as simple as knowing what’s going on in your neighborhood. The pinwheel is the national symbol of child abuse prevention and awareness.

Thursday, January 19, 2012  The Central New York Community came together in an unprecedented way Thursday night to focus on a topic many find difficult to discuss.  Preventing child sexual abuse was the focus of a forum at Onondaga Community College, sponsored by the child advocates at The McMahon/Ryan Child Advocay Center. The event was broadcast by several local media outlets including CNYCentral.

Thursday, January 19, 2012  Dan Leonard, who is an adult survivor of child sexual abuse is a key speaker at Thursday's town hall event at Onondaga Community College. Leonard lived with the secret of his abuse at the ages of 13 and 14 until the 1990's.
