John Meier is one of the newest co-owners of Greek Peak ski resort, taking over just a couple months ago and working to bring the resort out of its financial troubles. Meier is making big changes to the resort to make sure it stays one of Cortland Counties biggest tourist destinations, as well as one of its main employers.

It does not appear that there is enough support in the New York State Assembly to pass a bill legalizing professional mixed martial arts (MMA) events this year. The New York Daily News is reporting that 35 Assembly Democrats have signed a letter opposing the legalization of MMA that was delivered to Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver.
