OSWEGO -- Thursday, there was good news for the Port of Oswego and Central New York.

Senator Chuck Schumer announced the $300,000 grant he secured to design a breakwater wall to protect the Port.  Senator Schumer said the Port of Oswego could be a real economic engine for all of Central New York.

Senator Schumer said it will take about year for the for the Army Corp of Engineers to design the wall and the money to actually build the wall will be in the next years budget.
