SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner hasn’t held back in her recent criticisms of Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Today, the co-chairwoman of the state Democratic Party says the governor’s proposed budget should be rejected because it doesn’t save –upstate cities from insolvency.

Miner is calling for Cuomo to show leadership by setting up a meeting with legislators and local government officials to find a way to ease the tax burden on upstate residents, she said in a New York Times article.

Cuomo says cities should be allowed to borrow against projected future earnings, but Miner thinks this is risky.
