Freedom Riders is a horse riding program for children with disabilities.  The program is for children participating in Freedom Recreation Services in Auburn, and is free for those children.  According to the program’s organizers, horse riding provides physical activity, physical and mental therapy, a positive connection with the horse and it’s fun for children.   Claire Affleck started volunteering with Freedom Riders a couple years ago, and then became the owner of the Equestrian Center.  This year’s Fall program started on November 1st, and volunteers are always welcome.
