MARCELLUS -- Marcellus High School is closed today so students and faculty can attend the funeral of one of the school's teachers.

32-year-old Jody Karla, a math teacher, died last Friday after a battle with cystic fibrosis. She was waiting for a lung transplant at the time.

Calling hours were held yesterday for Karla, and her funeral is scheduled for today at 11:00 am at Enea Funeral Home in Frankfort.
