Syracuse's Christmas Tree Lighting, called Holiday Magic in the Square, extends beyond Clinton Square this year.
Parks Commissioner Pat Driscoll says the main program starts at 7pm in Clinton Square with performances, including on the ice, which he says will be in place, despite warm weather.  There are also events at the Landmark Theatre, including tours before the Clinton Square program, and a movie, 'A Christmas Story,' after.  Hanover and Armory Squares also have events planned.  For more on Syracuse holiday events: http://www.syracuse.ny.us/parks/calendarOfEvents.html
